This electric balance bike is aimed at 3-5 years old children. It is a greatway to help your little one to develop balance, motor skills, throttle control and hand-eye coordination from an early age.
For 2023 have added even more safety features for parents' piece of mind. We have also included a 'coasting' (or 'kick-start' ) function in the lower speed settings. This is a training booster and safety function at the same time.
Essentially the throttle will only engage the motor, when your youngster is already balancing and rolling. This feature reduces the risk of falls and 'wonky' starts from standstill. This function also causes a faster learning curve for riders that are still practicing their balance, because they will only get rewarded by motorised joy when they bring the bike into a stable and rolling position.
When your child masters the above, then (in the highest speed setting) the bike accelerates by throttle action to 18km/h... just like a little dirt bike.

TAKANI products are built with durability and performance in mind. This balance bike features a state of the art, brushless 'high speed' and 'high torque' hub motor with little moving parts that can break. Focussed on safety, we have fully integrated the juicy 24V lithium battery into the frame. This is to protect from the elements, bumps, dirt and to optimise the bike's centre of gravity. Rest assured, with 90 minutes run time the ride does not end too soon, but in line with your youngsters (and parents!) attention span.

Awesome little bike!! so glad we opted to get 2 of these over a peewee for our boys they are light & small enough that both fit in the boot !
Our 3 Yo took to it right away, after 2 minutes on the slowest mode he was ready to knock it up half way ! Our nearly 2yo hasn’t worked out how to operate it, we did expect he’d have issues working it out, but figured it was better to have one for him so they don’t fight 😂

Very happy with the purchase! My son loves it and has good suspension and control with the bike. He is joining the skids kids club in our Suburb soon.
The design is a head turner and everyone in the park will always approached us how beautiful and cool the bike is. My friends are considering to purchase but the bike is sold out online so they are keeping eye out.
Bonus: battery is inside the frame which is safe from dust, dirt and water. Very clever idea compared to other brands 👍🏼

Out of all the ones we reviewed I'm glad I chose this. Build quality is awesome it's hub drive motor meant no chain and no clutter in the bike frame leaving it looking almost like a normal balance bike

Best little bike ever! Built tuff, good battery life too! Recommended to all my mates! And if you have any issues like we did (bike got left in the rain) customer service is brilliant and helped me to get to the bottom of it and I had it fixed within minutes!
We got our eldest daughter the 16" last year and decided to get our youngest the 12" for her birthday this year.
She absolutely loves it! So glad we got these bikes for the girls.
Our 3 year old asked Santa for a new electric bike he is over the moon we went for the 16inch as he outgrew his old electric bike back in Scotland before we moved here he is never off it now and makes walking the dog so much easier ! Sturdy great bike battery lasts ! One very happy boy
Coming from a tiny wood balance bike to the Takani 16” balance bike at three years old was the best decision I could have made for my daughter to have solid grounding in biking skills. She used it as a regular balance bike on flat surfaces before progressing to small down hill runs where she would use the motor in the crawl mode to get back up the hill, perfect. Her confidence quickly built and she was riding it “on green mode”, the fastest speed, within a matter of weeks. These skills have directly translated into confident riding of all bike styles, including small petrol bikes, BMX & kids MTN bikes. Awesome!
She’s about to turn six and this is till her favourite thing for us to do when we’re together.
Really well built ! Kids love it and even my partner can ride it it has the power and adjustments to keep the kids learning for years. Will be buying the bigger model when the kids are ready
Our four year old loves his electric balance bike! Within half an hour he had gone from the low speed to the high speed. He rides it non stop, a charge lasts a good amount of time.
The bike is extremely well made. It also much heavier than I thought. My 3 year old son had difficult even using it as a balance bike. I suspect we will have to wait until he is 4 yo at least..
Bought for my daughters 3rd birthday and she was excited, the bike is just a tad to tall for her to use as a balance bike just yet but enjoys riding it all the same, my 7 year old step son loves riding it around and it carries him fine. Overall a great bike
it's been great
we took it away on holidays with a group of 22 & all the kids were constantly wanting to ride it & fighting over it haha
my only minor gripe is the seat keeps coming loose, I changed to the shorter post as my son has only just turned 3. I have tightened it several times & it keeps coming loose. I suspect the aluminium seat post is squashing down from clamping force of the seat, only seems to have occurred when I swapped to shorter post.
I will cut down the original taller seat post & see how it goes
